Does Massage Help With Recovery? Ours Is Built for It.
Perfect Touch 727 brings recovery massage to your home, condo or hotel in St. Petersburg, timed around your training, races and long weeks. We work what your sport loads, add guided stretching, and you finish looser and ready for the next session. No drive home on tired legs.
Recovery that comes to you
Our sports massage is built for the recovery side of training. After a long run, a heavy lifting day, a long ride or a weekend tournament, we come to your place, work the muscles that took the load, and guide you through stretches in the same session. You skip the drive, and you can shower, eat and rest the minute we pack up.
What you can count on
A good recovery session leaves you feeling looser and lighter, moving more easily, and aware of exactly where you were tight. That matters more than it sounds. When your body feels good, it is easier to keep training consistently, and consistency is where most progress comes from.
We will not oversell it. Massage is not a shortcut around sleep, food and easy days, and anyone promising dramatic results is stretching the truth. What it does well is help you feel ready for the next session, and that is what we build every visit around.
Timed around your training
We ask what you have been doing and what is coming up, then set the session to match:
- After hard training: a session within a day or two helps you move better as soreness peaks.
- After a race or long event: we wait until the sharpest soreness eases, then keep pressure moderate.
- Before an event: short, brisk work a few days out so you feel ready, not sore.
- During heavy blocks: steady, regular work to help you keep up with the load.
This suits runners, cyclists, triathletes, lifters, golfers, pickleball players and weekend athletes alike.
Not training for anything? It still helps
You do not need a race on the calendar. Long shifts on your feet, hours at a desk, yard work or a new pickleball habit can all leave you tight and achy. A recovery-minded session works on the neck, shoulders, hips and low back that take the brunt of everyday life. If one stubborn area is the main problem, deep tissue massage keeps the focus there.
Signs it is time to book
- Muscles that feel tight when you wake up
- Legs that stay heavy for days after training
- A shoulder or hip that never quite loosens
- Movement that feels stiffer than it should
- A big week, race or tournament coming up or just finished
Stretching in the same visit
Assisted stretching is built into our sports massage, so we work the muscle and then guide your hips, hamstrings and shoulders through a fuller range while they are warm and relaxed. Read more about assisted stretching.
Getting the most from it
Drink water, move gently and skip an intense workout right after. Sleep well that night. Most people feel loose the next day; if you feel a mild ache, an easy walk usually clears it. If something feels worse instead of better, or you have sharp pain, swelling or a joint that gives out, check with your doctor or physical therapist. Massage complements medical care and does not replace it.
Book your recovery session
Pick a 60, 90 or 120 minute session on the booking page, or call or text (727) 318-0255 and tell us about your training week. We bring the table and everything needed, and plan the session around what you have coming up.
